I'm an AI-native fractional COO with no software or technical background. I build AI into the actual work of running an organization, then I write about what I'm learning and teach others to do the same. I build in public through my LinkedIn and my Substack, where over the last six months my posts about building with AI have reached more than half a million people. My early experience was in the nonprofit digital health space, where I started as a product manager and later became CEO. That's where I learned that technology alone will not solve problems. You have to build the systems, the capacity, and the support around it to create value. That's no different with AI. I bring that lens into my work now. In equal parts, I build people's capacity to leverage AI well and I build the tools and systems that significantly improve how an organization runs. I do this by integrating AI into how people already work and using it to build the infrastructure for how they operate. For resource-constrained organizations especially, that combination lets them compete with much larger, better-resourced companies. This is hands-on work. For one nonprofit I built a procurement, onboarding, and vendor management system that classifies requests, routes them by value, generates contracts, and gives each vendor its own scoped portal. For a consumer product company I built a shared operating system the leadership team runs on, and a fully automated, multi-agent marketing system that runs campaigns with human approval. Across clients I build weekly intelligence engines, live dashboards, and the admin automations that take routine work off people's plates. I also help individuals build their own AI capacity. Through AI on Purpose, a guided cohort I run, I walk independent professionals and small teams through building their own AI-driven operating systems. Everything I teach is something I do in my own work first. The thread through all of it is responsible, people-first AI.
