About Jo
Jo McKinney works on the front lines of AI-driven disruption in work, growth, and marketing - simultaneously operating inside companies and advising global brands, building new models and helping established organizations transform. A former agency CEO with more than 30 years of experience working with clients like P&G, Coca-Cola, Estée Lauder, and GSK, she traded the corner office for the work itself. Jo believes this is a moment for leaders to be practitioners: leveraging deep experience and knowledge to vision, reframe, build, and help people navigate the uncertainty that comes with technological shifts of this scale. A founding member of Chief, where she currently advises on AI strategy, Jo joined Corrix as a co-founder because it is the first body of research and practical learning she has found that takes the human part of the AI transformation seriously. Corrix runs the largest behavioral study of real human-AI collaboration to date, and it shines a dramatic light on the reality we are in right now. Most companies have handed out tools and assumed people would figure out how to work with them on their own. But in reality, human work is degrading. Her work has always centered on people over platforms. She is known for making complex tech understandable, making strategy actionable, and getting rooms full of people genuinely ready to move. On stage, she speaks on the superhuman workplace, the human-first practice that AI transformation actually requires, and the once-in-a-generation chance in front of us to build a more humanistic and inclusive workplace than has ever existed, if we choose to build it on purpose. This is the first workplace in history without precedent, and Jo's argument is that we get to define it, but only if we shape new models of human/AI collaboration and work to ensure the rules of this new workplace are shaped by experienced leaders and a broader, more diverse set of voices. Recent stages include Cannes Lions, SXSW, the ANA AI & Technology Conference, IAB Annual Leadership Meeting, Worth Techonomy, NextUp Leadership Summit, and the Autonomous Summit.
