About Sunita
Sunita McCoy is Director of Quality Engineering at Pizza Hut (Yum! Brands), where she leads global quality strategy for one of the world’s largest restaurant brands. Her focus: making AI a practical force multiplier for engineering teams - from AI-enabled testing and shift-left quality to observability, SLI/SLO frameworks, and developer experience. Over a 20 year career spanning Pizza Hut, Foot Locker, Advance Auto Parts, MetLife, and Truist, Sunita has led platform transformations at scale and built engineering organizations of up to 350 people. She holds five Anthropic AI certifications and is known for translating AI capability into disciplined, measurable engineering practice. Sunita is a confirmed speaker at StarWest 2026 and has spoken at the Women in Tech Global Conference, AI for women, and AI in Retail forums on observability and agentic commerce. She serves on the ASQ Raleigh Leadership Committee and is a committed mentor to women in tech. Her leadership philosophy centers on tenacity, empathy, and authenticity focused on building psychologically safe, high-performing teams that treat quality as a strategic business function.
